Ian Armer was born in Preston, Lancashire, in 1976.He began his writing career working for MUSIC FROM THE MOVIES magazine, and writing corporate films for major international companies like BRADFORD & BINGLEY.In 2005 he was awarded finance from the UK FILM COUNCIL to direct the LGBT film CT OF NOTRE DAME. It was nominated for a BBC Audience Award at the Manchester Commonwealth Film Festival, and picked up for global distribution by Propeller TV.For the next 15 years, Ian wrote stories for THE ILLUSTRATED APE. The magazine was distributed worldwide before ceasing publication.In 2013 his first novel, MAD GODS & ENGLISHMEN, was published by John Hunt Publishing. It was in the top ten best-selling pre-orders for hot new fiction in Sci-fi/Fantasy.In 2018 he co-wrote the erotic drama INTROSPECTUM MOTEL with Amanda Webster, and the feature film was shot in Romania.2019 saw Ian write, direct, produce and edit the LGBT film POSSIMISTE: BUTTERFLY for Icelandic based pop musician Possimiste. Also, he co-wrote the film LEADBELLY, starring Jamie Lomas and Sammy Winward.2021 saw Ian co-write BOX with best-selling horror author Matt Shaw.
