Dodie can be seen in several period roles, such as her performance in the Emmy award winning television show American Horror Story and Tread Lively's feature film, The Blind, to be released in 2023.Dodie Brown was born in the small City of Mansfield, Louisiana to Clara and Jerry LaHood. She is the youngest of three siblings. She began performing as a young child with the Richland Players Theatre Group in Rayville, Louisiana. In high school, she excelled in tennis and swimming, but she loved dancing. Her journey led her to become a collegiate and professional dancer/cheerleader, even traveling to and performing in Tokyo, Japan. She was first approached to be in film/television while in Tokyo.In 1998 Dodie married the cute boy she met in the sixth grade, Alan Brown. They now have two daughters, Taylor & Gabrielle. In 2006, Taylor and Dodie performed as mother/daughter in Stephen King's The Mist, directed by Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption, creator/writer of The Walking Dead). She looks forward to working with Mr. Darabont again soon.
