Dmitry Pomirchy

Dmitry Pomirchy was born on Jan 18, 1991 in USSR [now Ukraine]. Dmitry Pomirchy's big-screen debut came with The Picture of Dorian Gray directed by Duncan Roy in 2007, strarring Rat Boy.

In December 1991 10 months old Dmitry immigrated to America with his mother Irene and father Gennady among many other Jewish families from the former USSR.From the very young age he was directing and producing his own shows to entertain his parents and the two younger brothers. He began to take part in local theater productions: Injun Joe in Tom Sawyer, Snow Kid in Carousel, and Jenie of the Lamp in Aladdin. At the same time Dmitry signed up with Ford Kids and started his modeling career by working with companies like Macy's, Sears, Polo Ralph Lauren, 4Kids Entertainment and more. He was featured on pages of BIG magazine, Scholastics and All You (by "People" magazine)and many other publications.At the age of 13 he got picked for his first film "How Things Are Made: A Wooden Bucket - The White Cooper's Craft In 1850" (2004) and that was it for Dmitry, he wouldn't want to do anything else but act.Since then he has enjoyed being part of cast for "The Picture of Dorian Grey", "Taylor Made", five short independent films and Manhattan Neighborhood Network's Series the Checkerboard Chronicles "The Nos" as a reckless Goth kid.An independent feature film called "A Book of Truth, A Book of Lies" gave him a pleasure to explore psychological ups and downs by playing a disturbed, manipulative teenager who recently lost his dad and would do anything to keep his mother to himself.Lately he could be seen in the feature film "Beautiful Ohio" directed by Chad Lowe and Ted Burn's film "Purple Violets" starring Debra Messing. He danced for Smash Mouth-Smash Hits National commercial for Universal Music and was a voice for an Electric Eel for Wrigley's Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape.Dmitry has just finished working on a sci-fi thriller "Deployment Strategy" where he plays a robot/human and needs to protect himself from a virus that has got into his system and to find a way to survive.After taking teen acting and musical theater course at Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC he was accepted to Performing Arts High School Academy PFAC in New Jersey. He also has training in gymnastics, tumbling, intermediate hip-hop dance, he is an avid skier and loves to play basketball. In his free time Dmitry loves to play with his younger brothers Ellis and Michael and his Maltese dog Emily.
