Denise Quesnel is an independent artist and filmmaker located in Vancouver, British Columbia. She has been involved in the arts for the majority of her life, with her roots mainly within illustration, painting and photography. She enrolled into the Film, Video and Integrated Media program at the Emily Carr Institute to pursue her interest in working with media and she takes her experience in the visual arts and applies it into filmmaking, to create films with visual and emotional depth.During the creation of a film, Denise emphasizes the concepts within a script and the visual ideas from pre-production to create a strong base in which to refer back to during production and post-production. She is interested in the idea of symbols and limited dialogue in her current and future films, and concepts of humanitarianism and philosophy.
