Dale Steyn is a premier cricketer for the South African national team and various professional cricket franchises world over. He has maintained the Proteas' tradition of producing some of the world's great fast bowlers and has succeeded the likes of Allan Donald, Shaun Pollock and Makhaya Ntini as the leader of the South African attack. He took more than 80 wickets in the period between October, 2007, and August, 2008, to be named the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year for 2008. It also earned him the No. 1 ranking, a position he has held ever since, while he has been named in the ICC Test Team of the Year for the past 4 years.He also has the highest strike rate (41) of any bowler who has taken more than 200 wickets.
